Trader Joe’s and Honest Weight battle for Best Health Food Store

If you haven’t gotten your nominations in yet, don’t worry. There’s still a week left to submit your favorites for consideration before the polls close on Feb. 5.

Once the nomination period ends, we will tally up the nominations and come up with our finalists in each category. The top five — or more, in case of any ties — will be posted for the final voting period, which runs from Feb. 22 to March 4.

Last year grocery chain Trader Joe‘s took the top spot for Best health food store/co-op in the Goods & Services group, beating out local favorite Honest Weight Food Co-op.

As the nomination tallies roll in, these two health-conscious markets are neck and neck. Can Honest Weight reclaim the top spot?

This will be one contentious race to watch closely as the battle between grocery chains and local co-ops rages on through the nomination period and voting.
