EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Grace of Christ Slavic Church mission for Ukraine is internet hosting a Help Ukraine Fest on Saturday, June 11, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Washington Plaza on Evansville’s East Side.
Celebration organizer Tyler Hinds of TRH House loan, who owns Washington Plaza, claimed that this event will be similar to those hosted earlier this spring at the Grace of Christ church, but will be larger sized.
“We’re hoping to get as a lot of people today there as we can,” he stated. “We will have speakers that have been in Ukraine in the course of the war and managed to evacuate and there will be a silent auction. For the little ones there will things to do and bounce properties, and lots of fantastic foodstuff and info for the grownups.
“The key stage is that this is not enormous organization, it’s individuals from Evansville functioning with neighborhood church buildings in Ukraine, so any funds donated will all go immediately to assistance with food items, medication or evacuation.”
Ukrainian food stuff specialties will involve Plov, a rice pilaf dish with beef and carrots, and Chebureki, a crisp deep-fried turnover stuffed with beef or hen and spices.

Also on the menu are pork or rooster skewers with grilled veggies and a massive assortment of desserts from conventional cake slices to crepes with strawberries or Nutella.
If you’re not sure you are going to like Ukrainian food stuff but nevertheless want to come enable the mission, there will be American staples as well, this kind of as barbecued ribs, hamburgers, very hot canine and Dippin’ Dots ice product.
There will also be a marketplace for Ukrainian merchandise and souvenirs, a kids’ craft shop and additional.
