It doesn’t matter if you are working from home or going to the office, weekends are always special. It’s essential for us to take a break and unplug from our day-to-day activities and do what makes us happy.
For me, happiness is food, and I love cooking. On the weekends, I like to do something special, so mostly we spend time in the backyard, grilling food and enjoying the beautiful evenings.
Grilled food is without a doubt the most delicious! The smoky flavour is hard to resist, but one of the challenges with grilled foods is that they can easily dry out. So, I always love using liquid cheese sauce with my grilled foods. The buttery and creamy cheese sauce is the perfect flavour combination with grilled foods – No wonder there are never any leftovers in my house.
Today, I am going to share some of my weekend grill delights that you can easily prepare at home with your family.
I prefer using liquid cheese sauce with grilled foods, so make sure you have your cheese sauce ready. Don’t worry; you don’t have to make the sauce from scratch, just get ready-made cheese from Pure Dairy. They have the best cheese sauce in Australia, made will all organic ingredients with no extra food colouring, so you don’t have to worry about the sauce being unhealthy.
Without further delay, let’s see what dishes go great with Anita Cheese Sauce:
Grilled Meat and Vegetable Bowl
This the healthiest and most nutritious bowl, that is also packed with flavour. Protein in the meat, vitamins & mineral in the veggies, and calcium and healthy fats in the cheese sauce. Delicious!
It is so easy to make, marinate the meat and veggies separately with salt, pepper and olive oil, an hour before grilling. Then grill the meat and vegetables until it’s perfectly cooked and serve with cheese sauce.
When cooking the veggies, it is entirely your choice. You can use seasonal veggies or your favourite ones. I like to add beetroot, broccoli, potatoes, carrots and some lettuce.
Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a Twist
Grilled cheese sandwiches, who doesn’t love them, right? If it’s grilled and has cheese that’s enough to make anyone fall in love.
If you want to make this sandwich, you will need lettuce, tomato and onions, and for an added meat version, you will need shredded chicken in addition to the other ingredients.
I like to use cheese sauce instead of cheese slices because I don’t have to wait for the cheese slices to melt. Then just cook like you would a regular grilled cheese sandwich.
Grilled Beef Steaks
Grilled beef steaks are one of the best grilled items to add to your dinner. They are ready in 20 minutes, and all you need is beef steaks, salt & pepper and some cheese sauce of course.
Make sure the beef steaks you are using are 3 or 4 inches thick, you can use porterhouse, rib eye, sirloin or T-bone steaks. These steaks are the best for grilling.
To make it even tastier, use cheese sauce as a dip or pour some cheese sauce over the steaks before serving.
