Step 3: Prepare vegetables and protein

After you have prepared your protein, slice the vegetables vertically into matchsticks.

Step 4: Roll it up

Before you start rolling sushi rolls, here are some tips. Wrap your bamboo mat in plastic wrap to avoid mess. Your rolls will need to be wrapped in nori on either the outside or inside. If this is a new thing to you, we recommend you start with the seaweed outside.

Place all ingredients on a piece of paper. This is an intimidating step, but it’s really easy. Once you’ve made 1/4 of the bamboo mat, roll the ingredients up and fold the bamboo mat. Keep going until you have a tight spiral. Then stack your toppings on top.

Step 5: Slice, serve and enjoy

Cut the large roll into small pieces with a knife. Avocado, sashimi or any other topping can be added to your sushi.
